Obituary for Margaret "Jean" McKnight

Margaret "Jean" McKnight
Jean grew up in the New England district north-east of Birch Hills. She was schooled at New England and Birch Hills. Jean and Bob were married young and had three beautiful daughters and lived their lives in the farm yard where Jean was raised. They ran Braaten’s Plumbing & Heating in Birch Hills for many years before parting ways and Mom’s move to Saskatoon. Jean continued her education followed by her career in Addiction Counselling, at which time she married her second husband Wayne McKnight. They were married in 1989 and lived and worked in northern communities of Saskatchewan, both in the field of Addictions. Jean’s marriage to Wayne brought three more children to her life and three more girls to Wayne’s. They moved from Loon Lake, SK, to North Battleford in 2005 where it came to pass that Wayne would move from this place to his home with his Heavenly Father in April of 2007. Shortly, after this, Jean returned to her roots and moved back to Birch Hills, renewing friendships of days gone by and enjoying her time playing cards, visiting, dancing at The Flute & Fiddle and Birchview, bible studies, grandchildren, being closer to her family, friends and Candle Lake. Left to mourn her passing Jean leaves:
Her children: Debbie (Warren) Apesland and their children: Mathew (Stefanie) and Alexandra Apesland; Lorrie Braaten and her children: Jeff (Shelly) Pratt and Devin (Krystle) Pratt; Terry (Bruce) Wait; Adele McKnight and her children: Shania and Kody, Derek (Pamela)McKnight; her great-grandchildren: Sheldon (Mikaila) and great-great granddaughter Riley, Tyra, Kaitlyn, Tia, Mya, Emma, and Ava; her sister-in-law: Fran (Scolinder) Pushie (Tom Hodgins); and her two furry four-legged friends: Sniff and Peanut; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jean was predeceased by her husband of 18 years: Wayne; her son: Dallas McKnight; her granddaughters: Jennifer and Angela Wait; her parents: Robert and Sylvia Pushie, her siblings: Magdelan (Arthur) Warder, Arthur (Josephine) Pushie, Stella (Harold) Rinholm, Shirley (Keith) Firth and Lyall Pushie. A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Lake Park Baptist Church, Birch Hills, SK. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to Birchview Auxillary,
3 Wilson St., Birch Hills, SK, S0J 0G0.
