William “Willyboy” McKenzie Jr., late of Little Red River Reserve, SK, passed away on August 26, 2016 in Little Red River Reserve, SK at the age of 48 years. William will be lovingly remembered by: his common-law wife: Myrtle Ballantyne; his sons: Elton McKenzie, William Ballantyne, Nathan Ballantyne, and Zachary Ballantyne; his daughters: Amber (Joshua) Daniels of Sturgeon Lk., and Jeanetta Ballantyne of Sturgeon Lake; his step-children: Melissa (Tyler) Ballantyne, Maura Ballantyne, and Russell Ballantyne of Little Red River Reserve; his 2 grandchildren: Raymond Daniels, and Ayla Sanderson of Sturgeon Lake; his 9 step-grandchildren: T.C., Marie, Taylor, Lexi, Xander, Jaydena, T.J., Dayton, and Jade; his mother: Anne McKenzie; his brothers: Philip (Violet) McKenzie, and Alex “Eli” (Nora) McKenzie; his sisters: Lisa (Gary) McKenzie, Angie (Billy) McKenzie, and Julia (Gilbert) Charles; his special family: Rosie Roberts and Girls (Muthook); his father-in-law: Cornelius Ballantyne Sr.; his brothers-in-law: Cornelius Ballantyne Jr. of Stanley Mission, Percy Ballantyne of Little Red River Reserve, and Lionel Ballantyne of Little Red River Reserve; his sisters-in-law: Audrey (Malcom) Daniels of Sturgeon Lake, and Irene (Jimmy) Ballantyne of La Ronge, SK; his godson: David J. Halkett; as well as numerous uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews and nieces. William was predeceased by: his father in 2011: William (Bill) McKenzie Sr.; his grandparents: Phillip and Sally McKenzie; his uncles: Elias McKenzie, Johnny McKenzie, George McKenzie, and Malachi Charles; his aunts: Bella Ratt, Hannah Charles, Matilda Roberts, and Angelique McKenzie; his niece in infancy: Sally Ann McKenzie. A Wake Service will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 – 7:00 pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 – 10:00 am at White Hall, Little Red River Reserve, SK and Wednesday, August 31, 2016 – 9:00 pm at Grandmother’s Bay, SK. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 1, 2016 – 2:00pm at Grandmother’s Bay, SK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.MacKenzieChapel.ca.
